Strong growth and a new milestone for Optimum Sorting in 2025

Optimum Sorting achieves major milestone in 2025

At Optimum Sorting, 2025 reaffirmed our belief that boundaries are meant to be pushed. Achieving 38% growth and reaching €40 million in revenue was a significant milestone for us; one that strengthened our position as a global player in advanced sorting technology. Building on this momentum, we are ready to take bold, strategic steps in 2026. Our focus remains clear: delivering exceptional service, pioneering innovations, and offering smart sorting solutions for customers worldwide as we continue to raise the bar.

Innovation creates new horizons

Optimum Sorting closed 2025 on a high note, marking a year driven by innovation and international growth. We now operate in 50 countries and serve approximately 350 customers worldwide, primarily within the food industry. Recent installations have focused on advanced sorting solutions for potato products such as chips and fries, as well as vegetables including onions, green beans, and carrots.

In 2025, our R&D team expanded our portfolio with new applications, introducing solutions for the mining industry for the very first time. Leveraging our patented UV-LIF technology, we can now detect and sort spodumene in a completely new and more sustainable way—a critical material in lithium battery production. Innovation also continued in the food sector, where our Magnus sorter, designed specifically for delicate fruit, has already been successfully adopted by several new customers.

Optimum Sorting’s growth in 2025 was no coincidence. It was driven by continuous innovation and a relentless focus on our customers’ needs. We launched breakthrough applications that opened new markets, from advanced solutions for the mining industry to technologies that enable the sorting of even the most delicate products. This year, we also reached a major milestone: the installation of our 900th machine. This achievement not only validates our expertise but also reinforces our commitment to delivering top quality worldwide.

Driving growth through people and infrastructure

This strong growth brings exciting new challenges for Optimum Sorting. To boost production capacity, we’re moving our facility from Eindhoven (the Netherlands) to a larger, more modern site in Veldhoven, just a few kilometers away. This new location will give us the space we need to build and test more machines. We expect to complete the move in summer 2026. Changes are also coming in the United States, where we’ll soon relocate our test and demo center from Turlock to a new facility in Sacramento. This will allow us to better connect with and serve customers in California’s nut and vegetable industries.

Our growth isn’t just driven by technology; it’s powered by people. In 2025, our team expanded from 91 to 118 colleagues, and this is only the beginning. In 2026, we have exciting plans to further strengthen our teams in Belgium, the Netherlands, Thailand, and the United States with top talent in engineering, service, and logistics. Together, we will continue to build reliable and cutting-edge sorting solutions for our customers, with the ambition to reach new heights in the years ahead.
