VENTUS

 

Our latest development is our VENTUS, a freefall sorter designed in Belgium and equipped with a single- or double-sided laser configuration. With an impressive laser scanning speed of more than 4000 scans per second, the VENTUS offers the highest resolution of all laser sorters on the market.
With our latest release of the VENTUS 1800 we now also have the widest (1800mm) free fall sorter in the nut industry.

 

 

The VENTUS can be equipped with up to 16 lasers (and 32 laser detectors) and is able to sort extremely accurately on discolorations, structure, oil & moisture content and biological characteristics. The different laser signals are processed simultaneously by our Multi-Dimensional Laser System which is unique in the industry! It results in a more accurate classification and detection of foreign objects, discolorations and other deviations.
As a result it reduces the risk of false rejects caused by false detections. In order to get an excellent good-to-bad ratio even for the smallest products, you can equip it with a high-resolution valve system: ultra-fast and small air valves with a center-to-center distance of 4.6 mm.
With our Aflasort configuration we can successfully detect aflatoxins on your almonds and other nuts. Our laser technology can detect the smallest traces of aflatoxin residue.

NOVUS

 

Depending on the width and the application, it’s equipped with 3, 6 or 9 advanced high-resolution cameras for optimal detections of defects.
Using the optional laser sensors (up to 8 laser signals) you can increase the defect detection and sorting accuracy even further.

 

 

But that’s not all: the NOVUS uses IR lighting underneath the product flow in combination with IRGB top cameras to give you a perfect image of the shape and size of the nut. Furthermore the IR lighting assures measurements are not disturbed by possible discoloration or debris on the conveyor belt. ​
The result: a significant improvement in your sorting efficiency of the accepted products and better good-product-to-bad-product ratio in the reject stream.
